July 4th weekend 2006. Waterford, NY. Hudson River & Erie Canal. Fireworks Saturday night. It is OK to stay beyond July 4th as a guest of the Town of Waterford. Excellent docks with showers and bathrooms at dockside. Restaurants within walking distance. Motels are not nearby. Busy dockside with lots of tourist crowds. July 27-30, 2006 Otter Creek, Vergennes, VT. Betty Crosby 802.524.2541 skblcrosby@yahoo.com. For some reason this meet always starts 5 days early, but usually ends on time. Otter Creek flows into Lake Champlain and is close by the Maritime Museum. This is the only steam meet where we have the Canadian Navy parade by our launches to entertain us.
